About the Role
Primary Care Support Team, as part of the Community Assessment and Response Team (CART) offers a variety of programs that assist individuals to manage chronic health conditions, focusing on the assessment and delivery of client-focused care. This is a new service in Monash Health and an exciting opportunity to be part of our growth. The CART team consists of Allied Health Assistants, Care Coordinators, Community Development Workers, Counsellors, Diabetes Nurse Educators, Dietitians, Exercise Physiologists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, and Podiatrists. We are committed to working with communities, families and individuals providing high-quality, multidisciplinary programs which embrace client-centred care, evidence-based practice and the Social Model of Health.
We are looking forward to welcoming a Grade 2 Podiatrist, in a part-time (0.6 EFT) ongoing capacity to be part of our growth. This role will be based at our community site.
A Day in the Life
The Grade 2 Podiatrist will provide specialist clinical care in a multidisciplinary model across community based outpatient services within Monash Health, working across sites as required. The podiatrist works collaboratively within the multidisciplinary CART programs. The primary focus is on assisting the individual to maintain their health, wellbeing and independence. The purpose is to provide an effective podiatry service to eligible clients. Scope of practice includes high risk foot care, biomechanical pathologies, wound management and general diagnostic treatment and management of foot disorders within centre based, and outreach models of care.

What you need:
Bachelor of Podiatry, Bachelor of Applied Science (Podiatry) or recognised equivalent.
Current general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) - Podiatry Board of Australia, with no restrictions.
Achieve and maintain competency in basic life support/first aid skills in accordance with the AHPRA Registration guidelines
Include additional required or desired qualifications/registrations/licences such as NDIS Worker Screening clearance, post-graduate qualifications, membership/involvement in special interest groups
