Period of AppointmentThis is a fixed term appointment for a period of 2 years.
Hours per fortnightUp to 73.5 hours - flexible options available.
- Research and analyse policy issues relevant to security and emergency management and contribute to solutions, proposals and recommendations as they impact Tasmania.
- Assist with the development and implementation of policies relevant to security and emergency management.
- Establish linkages and liaise with other agencies and other jurisdictions, and support effective relationships across local, state, interstate and Commonwealth governments and non-government stakeholders.
- Prepare correspondence, meeting papers, reports and briefing notes, including Ministerial and Cabinet documentation.
- Provide secretariat support to committees and project teams and general high level administrative support when required.
- Research and analyse security and emergency management policy developments outside Tasmania and advise on implications.
- The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.
A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or research experience to similar level.
Appropriate security clearances to a Secret level, or the ability to acquire.
