The Hospital Research Foundation Group (THRF Group) is seeking an experienced Policy Lead eager to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for strengthening policies with all sectors within our brands.

The role of the Policy Lead is to influence and advocate for THRF Group Client and Patient Service brands, by working collaboratively with internal subject matter experts, networks and consumers to design campaigns, produce documents, and develop consumer-driven and evidence-based policy positions that help reduce inequality, disadvantage and unmet needs.
About the role
Reporting to the Chief of Client and Patient Services key responsibilities include:
- Development and execution of the policy and advocacy plan for THRF Group Client and Patient Services brands
- Monitor developments and provide advice in Commonwealth, State and Local Government policy and legislative change
- Provide complex, evidence-based policy advice for THRF Group Client and Patient Services brands
- Establish pathways and opportunities for consumers of THRF Group Client and Patient Services brands to discuss key policy issues important to their unmet needs
- Coordinate key policy and reform related projects
- Proactively seek out opportunities to participate in public policy matters related to THRF Group Client and Patient Services brands
- Undertake policy, research and evaluation projects based on an annual project plan.
We're looking for individuals who possess:
- Applicable tertiary qualification in social policy, public relations or other related field (eg health care and community services) or equivalent experience
- At least three years of experience leading and developing policy and advocacy initiatives
- Experience working within diverse and multi-disciplinary teams/ organisations.
