The centre has a range of fitness facilities for all ages. Threemulti-purpose indoors courts, a state-of-the-art gym with modernand interactive equipment and a large group fitness studio with aseparate RPM/Spin studio. The centre has two pools, all of whichare geothermally heated, a dedicated spa and sauna area,café and crèche.
About the role:
Reporting to the Aquatics Team Leader, this role will assist inthe operations and maintenance of our pool facilities. Maintainingwater quality, facility hygiene and maintenance procedures, withthe highest regard to public safety and quality customer servicedelivery. Also act as Duty Manager on weekend shifts to coordinatethe day-to-day operations of the facility and oversee centre staffand patrons.
The person:
The successful applicant must hold relevant aquatic skills andexperience and ability to work flexible hours between 5.00am– 9.30pm weekdays and weekends.
In addition, the candidate will have developed:
- Knowledge of the Code Of Practice, Aquatic Facilities Regulations (Health Department 2007)
- Background in pool plant operation and maintenance
- Leadership skills
- Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Organisational and time management skills
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Essential registrations/qualifications include current:
- Aquatic Technical Operator
- Pool Lifeguard and Resuscitation
- Provide First Aid and CPR
- LIWA accreditation
- National Police Clearance (not older 3 months)
