The SADE (Strategy, Architecture, Data and Engineering) team has the primary business partnering and delivery responsibility for the critical functions - including the Technology business unit itself - and the setting and achievement of their Technology strategies, responsible for the end-to-end management of systems. SADE is accountable for project delivery and capacity planning for the overall technology team. Business operations including the coordinator function are embedded with this group and is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of technical and engineering functions that the overall group also provides.

What you'll do

This business-critical role will support the SADE team as a key interface between technology, finance and other commercial groups. Your data collection and analysis skills will contribute to budget planning and forecasting which are crucial components of effective decision making for the group. Other responsibilities include:

  • Work alongside the SADE Portfolio leadership group to ensure invoices and purchase orders are processed efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Proactively ensure that software and hardware licensing and support is current accurate, to ensure compliance and reduce costs.
  • Collate required reports for management on a regular basis and to help with day-to-day management of the SADE team, budgeting and purchasing.
  • Work closely with external service providers and internal stakeholders to ensure consistency of reporting across the group. Share learnings.
  • Support an environment where agility and continuous improvement is built into work practices and actively encourage agile practices.
  • Contribute to budget forecasting, cost savings and analysis to ensure services purchased and delivered are fit for purpose and cost competitive.
  • Ensure you are doing the right work, at the right time, in the right way.
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, peers and team members and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Be able to build strong business relationships based on trust and delivery.

What you'll bring

  • 3+ years' experience working in a technology environment project or divisional support role with experience of developing project/program level reports at a management level.
  • Contract, Financial and Commercial management experience within an med-large size organisation.
  • Advanced excel skills.
  • Exceptional level of planning, implementation, organisation and execution skills, coupled with well-developed skills in communicating at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated high level of consultative, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Exposure to Oracle financial modules and AWS reporting would be advantageous.
