The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Portfolio Coordinator to join our Operations Business Improvement Projects team in Melbourne or Brisbane Australia on a Fixed Term Fulltime basis.
Reporting to the Manager Business Improvement Projects you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our Operations Business Improvement and Asset Integration Portfolios in APA.
Key Responsibilities
  • Establish Portfolio, Program and Project schedules for specific Asset Integration & Business Improvement Projects
  • Work with Project Managers and PMOs to identify potential issues or roadblocks with milestones.
  • Monitor earned value and cost performance of active projects.
  • Provide quality assurance of scheduling data in the project database aligned to the project framework.
  • Review resource and cost forecast against available resources and budgets and propose adjustments to suit business priorities.
  • Consolidate, analyse and track project milestones, analyse change, dependencies and overall business impact and provide recommendations.
  • Assist with identifying, logging and tracking project risks and issues.
  • Assist in the production of monthly project status reports.
  • Assist with financial reporting of projects to the PMO.
  • Develop dashboard style reporting.
Your background
  • Diploma in Project Management or other PM Training (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the Energy Infrastructure industry or similar environment in Business Improvement projects.
  • Proven skills in project planning, budgeting, estimating and cost control to meet customer expectations and project deadline.
  • Experience in resource planning and capacity management skills
  • Experience in analysing, interpreting and translating a variety of financial and performance data and information into clear and succinct reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills, especially in working with distributed teams at all levels
  • Competence in the suite of Microsoft Office products and PPM tools.
  • PowerBI dashboard development skills (preferred)
About the Team
This opportunity will see you join the Business Improvement Projects team within the Operations Development and Integration group, which has been established to support our growth strategy. The Business Improvement Projects team leads the scoping, prioritisation, delivery and governance of cross functional business improvement projects for the Operations Division.
