Purpose of the role: This role will be accountable for leading the Schedule performance of the Infrastructure Portfolio – Investment Management Office IP-IMO Portfolio Controls Team reporting to the Portfolio Controls Manager and supporting the $2.5 bn Infrastructure Portfolio consisting of multiple programs and standalone projects.
This role is a critical to the success of the portfolio and requires strong collaboration and coordination of schedule management across Sydney Water’s various Infrastructure planning and delivery functions.
What will you be doing?
The role is responsible for enabling the Infrastructure Portfolio by developing consistent and the effective right portfolio, program, and cost control functions to develop, monitor and ensure optimal portfolio performance.
You will:
- Be responsible for the day-to-day Portfolio Schedule and interface controls processes and supporting the performance of the IP-IMO Portfolio Controls Team accountable to the IP-IMO Portfolio Controls Manager and supporting the Sydney Water Infrastructure Portfolio.
- Actively cooperate in the strategic initiatives of excellence and other duties assigned by the manager.
- Support the Program Managers and team with their day-to-day activities.
- Establish Portfolio master schedule baseline and investment pipeline at Levels 1, 2, and 3, including the supporting of an integrated baseline.
- Development of the portfolio interdependency schedule. (incl. building a level 1, 2 and 3 investment pipeline schedules as required).
- Develop, maintain, implement and update schedule management plans/process and systems for the IP-IMO, working closely to support the Controls Teams and key stakeholders.

Who are we looking for?
You will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction, project management or in a similar discipline and/or experience deemed equivalent.
- 15+ years of experience in infrastructure / oil & gas / water, mining industries / utility providers.
- Demonstrated experience managing and reporting of large-scale, complex projects / programs.
- Strong technical skills in project controls - cost planning, scheduling, cost control, risk, and reporting.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
- Skills in Power BI, Tableau, or similar qualification of using reporting tools.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
