Job Description
The Schedule Coordinator is responsible for the preparation of the daily presentation log including the scheduling of all promotions items. This position works closely with Programming, News, Promotions, Traffic and NPC to ensure our broadcast is of the highest standard.
Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:
- Ensure daily log content is complete, accurate, and ready for broadcast.
- Manage local promo tracks within Phoenix promo grid, scheduling crawls and graphics.
- Implement promo placement strategies in collaboration with Presentation Channel Manager and Programming.
- Liaise with Promotions, NPC, Sales, Traffic, and external parties to understand programming priorities and manage workloads.
- Contribute to the development of NEC’s Phoenix scheduling application.
- Optimise Presentation workflows and efficiency.
- Offer support for colleague leave coverage and administrative tasks.
- Provide daily debrief reports.
- Maintain positive and professional communication.
- Adhere to NEC company policies and procedures.
- Foster a safe workplace culture.
Qualifications
What we would like to see on your resume:
Essentials:
- Previous experience working within a media broadcast environment.
- Computer literacy, experience with Microsoft programs.
- Sound knowledge of ACMA Regulations & Code of Practice
- Confidence, attention to detail, strong communication and organisational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Proven ability to communicate and build rapport with stakeholders at various levels within the business.
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and workloads to meet tight deadlines
Desirables:
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of promo scheduling systems as well as other presentation tools such as media logger, Invenio, Sales and Traffic.
- Sound knowledge of broadcast technology, intermediate knowledge of production and post-production environments and workflows
