About the role
If you’re passionate about a career working with children and adults living with disability in a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner role, this opportunity is for you.
Novita is seeking an experienced practitioners to apply. Candidates will be well supported through orientation to Novita's PBS service delivery models and provided regular supervision from an experienced practitioner. Novita also provides frequent opportunities to connect with the broader team for peer support and learning.
As a PBS Practitioner at Novita, you will be part of a passionate, dynamic, and supportive multidisciplinary team with strong leadership and comprehensive internal training opportunities.
We have three positions available on Full time basis.
- PBS Practitioners - One position is 12-month Maternity Leave backfill based at Christies beach, may get extended or permanent as per Novita's service delivery requirements and another ongoing position based at Hindmarsh.
- Senior PBS Practitioner - This position is an ongoing full-time position which will provide support to southern therapy hubs (Christies Beach and Waradale).
Location will be negotiated and changed as per Service delivery requirement.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:
- tertiary qualifications in allied health e.g., Developmental Education, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology Science, Behavioural Science or related discipline and/or post graduate certificate in Positive Behaviour Support
- registration with, or willingness to apply to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Specialist Behaviour Practitioner
- self-assessed and supervisor-endorsed at Core Practitioner level or above
- minimum 12 months experience as a PBS Practitioner working within the NDIS PBS Capability Framework (for senior position at least 3 years' experience)
- ability to work independently within the scope of the role

- ability to communicate effectively with clients, family members, colleagues, and managers
- ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team

- valid driver’s licence and willingness to use own vehicle for travel
Essential Requirements
- NDIS worker screening, DHS Working with Children and Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (Novita mandate) or hold valid exemption from Chief Public Health Officer
Remuneration Package and Benefits
Total remuneration package includes base salary, annual leave loading and statutory superannuation contribution. Enjoy salary packaging up to $15,900 of your salary, increasing your take-home pay by approximately $5,000. Further salary-packaging benefits available include meal and entertainment expenses, accommodation and venue hire, private novated leasing and additional superannuation contributions.
