There is a highly sought-after need for more Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners in our ever growing organisation. What you will bring to the team:
- Demonstrated skills and experience in behaviour analytic skills.
- Demonstrated experience in providing behavioural assessment and intervention across a range of settings that include family, out-of-home care, and community-based care.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge and skills in a specific clinical speciality gained from experience working as a clinician.
- Demonstrate Strong knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support principles including functional behaviour assessment, intervention and service delivery practices, and Restrictive Practice Authorisation processes.
- Good people skills are a must as this job is all about working very closely with participants.
- High level of attention to detail & the ability to multi-task.
- Experience in writing assessments and reports to monitor participants progress.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team involved in the care of patients and their families .
- Ability to work in team and maintain a good relationship.
- Experience in clinical supervision and training of proficient and core practitioners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to share ideas and think outside the box.
- Current suitability confirmed by NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission at the Advanced or Specialist level.
- Experience working in the disability sector and with NDIS.
- Bachelors degree in Psychology, Counselling, Board-Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBA), Occupational Therapy, Teaching, Social Work, Social Sciences, Childhood Education, Allied Health or other relevant area with the current registration with the professional body.
- A minimum of 5+ years’ experience working with people diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or other disabilities who engage in severely challenging behaviours of concern.
