Our footprint extends across much of the vast Pilbara region, and we have been successfully supporting the development of opportunities for Aboriginal people in the region for many years.
POSITION SUMMARY
As the Post Placement Support Officer, you will have to implement appropriate and effective methods to engage Employers and build employment opportunities for job seekers by managing relationships through networking; ensuring services to existing and potentials Employers in the region; and actively monitoring the economic development of the region to identify and target new industries for future employment opportunities.
PROFILE CRITERIA
Essential:
- A capacity to contribute to inter-agency working groups for enhanced client-focused service delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people (both Indigenous and non-Indigenous) with competing needs.
- A demonstrated capacity to achieve outcomes.
- Team building, collaboration, and facilitation skills.
- Excellent administrative skills.
- Exceptional Interpersonal skills including communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers.
- Competent in Microsoft Office with the ability to grasp other IT programs/databases.
Desired:
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers.
- Previous employment service consulting experience.
- Demonstrated experience or capacity to work and engage with Aboriginal people.
- An understanding of the cultural, political, economic, and social issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in contemporary Australian society.
- Experience in working for Not-for-Profit organisational frameworks.
