Base Salary Level A $105,350 - $112,462 p.a. + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The School of Psychology at The University of Sydney is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Cognitive Neuroscience to conduct high impact research enabling earlier and more accurate diagnosis of younger-onset dementia. The role will coordinate research across several research sites around Australia, ensuring project goals are met, and delivering on key research objectives. The role will also conduct research into the Cognitive Neuroscience of dementia using advanced statistical and neuroimaging techniques.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
coordinate research activities for a large national study by liaising with clinicians, research assistants, and dementia stakeholders
ensure timely completion of project milestones and communication across study sites
assist in the assessment of older adults and people with dementia
manage study databases and conduct statistical analyses on project data
interpret study findings and assist with preparing findings for publication/external reports
contribute to the supervision and mentoring of junior colleagues.
About you

a PhD in Psychology/ Cognitive Science or related field
experience in Cognitive assessment of clinical populations
expertise in coding, statistical analyses, and data management
demonstrated track record in project management/coordination
exceptional interpersonal communication including written and verbal skills
a track record of publishing in scientific journals.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the reasons for the position.
