The role revolves around designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards that provide meaningful insights into key performance indicators, trends, and opportunities. A key attribute of the role is to collaborate closely with business users to understand their requirements, translating them into intuitive and visually appealing dashboards that facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Beyond dashboard development, the role is responsible for data modelling, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within the Power BI environment. This is in addition to data manipulation and transformation will be crucial in preparing data from various sources for analysis, enabling stakeholders to derive actionable insights efficiently.
As a subject matter expert for Power BI within the organisation, the Application Analyst takes lead in providing training, guidance, and support to users across different departments as well as having the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner will empower users to leverage Power BI effectively to meet analytical needs.
