The Role This organisation has an opportunity for a Power Electronics Engineer to develop and test a range of technologies to power the mining fleet focused on green energy and achieving decarbonisation targets. Whilst your role may vary you will typically be responsible for: Design and deliver Power Electrical / Electronics systems for Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) / Rail Locomotives Green Fleet Development projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner Review and validation of various Power Electronics engineering designs and associated components Providing technical assistance on Power Electrical / Electronics Systems related works being carried out Develop technical specifications to meet project specific objectives Review / mark up engineering drawings, documents, specifications and scopes Resolution of technical and design issues Proactively deliver on the company’s stretch targets Ensure compliance to the project management process by project owners Liaising with a range of key stakeholders on all technical aspects of projects Providing regular updates to the Principal Electrical Engineer including work progress, risks, and priorities About You Minimum 5 years of experience in Power Electrical/Electronics Engineering Electrical, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering degree, preferably a qualification in Power Electrical/Electronics Engineering Experience with Rail Locomotives / Heavy mobile equipment is highly advantageous Experience with operation of DC/DC converters, inverters, high powered EV chargers and VSDs Experience in designing high voltage DC power…
