About the Role
Zenith own, operate, and maintain remote Power Stations and we are looking to expand our existing maintenance team with suitably qualified mechanical tradespersons to work on a variety of mine sites in WA and NT in the role of Field Service Technician.
This Field Service Technician works on equipment from OEM’s such as Wartsila, Jenbacher, MTU and Cummins. If you have experience on any of these OEM’s, we would like to hear from you!
The roster cycle for this role is 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off FIFO/DIDO from Perth.
Working within a small team and servicing remote sites this position has the responsibility of executing planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance tasks on the equipment within Zenith’s Power Stations. The role is responsible for ensuring maintenance tasks are carried out to highest quality standards to ensure equipment reliability. Main responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Execution of planned maintenance activities, unscheduled maintenance on power generation equipment and associated ancillary equipment.
- Maintain and update service records.
- Exhibit the highest commitment to Zenith’s HSE and environmental policies.
- Take an active role in always ensuring an incident free workplace.
- Act as a relief Power Station operator as and when required.
About You
As the Power Station Operator / Maintainer you will have the following experience, knowledge, and skills to bring to the role.
Experience
- 3 years’ experience in a Mechanical trade.
- Heavy industry or power generation experience in a maintenance role is desirable.
- Experience in Engine rebuilds, diagnosis and troubleshooting.
- Remote site or FIFO experience is desirable.
- Tradesperson level ERP experience (Pronto, Ellipse, SAP) is desirable.
Skills/Ability
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products.
Qualifications & Clearances
- Current WA C class driver’s license.
- Mechanical Trade Certificate.
- First Aid certificate.
- Ability to pass a National Police Clearance and Pre-employment Medical.
- Right to work in Australia.
