We are currently seeking expressions of interest for a qualified, highly motivated and enthusiastic to candidate join our growing Great Energy team. This is a 3-year fixed term full-time position based on 14 days on, 14 days off FIFO role with the possibility of extension.
Annual salary package of 170k plus super annuation

Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing the day to day oversight of shift operations, repairs and maintenance, maintenance planning and execution as well as providing operational, commercial and personnel leadership to the plant shift operating teams. In this role you will maintain efficient and cost effective facility operations while maintaining compliance with all Customer, Corporate and Regulatory environmental, health and safety rules and requirements. The successful candidate will be the onsite contract representative for Great Energy and will drive continuous improvement, safety, cost saving initiatives and plant reliability.
About the role
The roles and responsibilities of the Power station Supervisor include though are not limited to
- Ensure the Power station is operated as safely and as efficiently as possible following all operational philosophies developed by the customer and Great Energy
- Work closely with the client to develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs on all rotating equipment and fixed plant equipment
- Adhere to and drive both the customers and Great Energy’s safety and maintenance systems
- Adhere to all KPI’s set by the customer and Great Energy
- Review and implement improvements to the KPI’s set by the customer and Great Energy
- Attend all required planning and maintenance meetings
- Drive continuous improvement of plant operations, maintenance and safety systems
- Development of Safe Working Procedures
- Facilitate morning prestart meetings to the Power station operator maintainer team
- Decision-making responsibility for all O&M related to the Power Station, equipment, processes, and electrical distribution systems
- Oversees/conducts the R&M of all related to the Power Station, equipment and ancillary systems
- Supervises/delegates/oversees plant shift O&M teams and direct reports directly to the customer
- Assists Project Management with preparation of regulatory, client/contract and corporate reporting requirements.
- Assists Project Management with inventory/cost controls, UW financial and budgeting requirements
- Assists Project Management with setup and maintenance of operations, maintenance, and safety programs
- Assists Project Management with all efforts related to Contract Compliance
- Assists Project Management to develop a culture of focus and engagement at the project to achieve excellence
- Assists Project Management with all efforts related to project/corporate and regulatory environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
- Work closely with client/customer, vendors and contractors ensuring professional, courteous, prompt service and satisfaction
- Manage equipment, materials and supplies purchasing and inventory
To be successful in this role you must have previous experience in;
- Advanced level 5+ years’ experience in Power station Operation and Maintenance
- Experience on Operations and Maintenance of rotating and fixed plant equipment
- Supervisory experience S1, S2, S3 certification
- Experience with SAP maintenance management system
- Working in remote locations on a variety of rosters
- Experience in Solar Turbines Taurus T60 generator sets is desirable

- Understanding contract obligations and act in accordance with contract
- Able to set the standard and coach the work team
- Work unsupervised
- Certificate III in Engineering or Queensland Electrical Fitter Electrical Mechanic Licence
- Current unrestricted C Class drivers’ licence
- Permit to work systems
- Hazard Identification, risk assessments, JSA’s, Take 5’s & associated paperwork.
- Experience with maintaining Gas and steam turbines and related systems is desirable
- Desirable - High Risk Work Licence

- WP Boom Elevated Work Platform
- Certificate III in Instrumentation & Control
- BA Advanced Boiler Operation
- TO Turbine Operation
