Power System Engineer

Design & Build Recruitment has collaborated with a Global tier 1 O&M Inverter Manufacturer to identify a skilled and technical Power System Engineer in Sydney. The ideal candidate should possess proven experience in Power system studies and grid connection modelling with a keen interest in technical innovation.This business is one of the world's most respected in its category with 340 GW installed worldwide with a diverse product portfolio for utility-scale, commercial & industrial, and residential applications offering an innovative environment for motivated Power System Engineer to thrive in.Key Responsibilities for the Power System Engineer:

• Collaborate with internal R&D, Product, and Modeling teams to gain an understanding of hardware, software, RMS, and EMT models of the business products.
• Collaborate with the commercial team on bidding preparation by preparing model packages as well as supporting tasks relevant to the GPS R1, R2, etc.
• Manage clients' modeling inquiries and troubleshoot model issues.
• Review connection agreements.
• Stay updated on industry trends and NER technical rules.

Requirements for the Power System Engineer:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power System Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role within an NSP, Consultancy, or similar business.
• Extensive knowledge of Power systems, power electronics, and control principles.
• Experience with Power systems modeling and analysis tools such as PSSE, PSCAD, and DigSilent.
• Experience with grid connection modeling.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
