Role Summary:
The Power Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in conducting grid impact and compliance studies, including GPS, R0, R1, R2, and commissioning activities. They will be responsible for the assessment and management of challenges associated with the integration of renewable energy sources into the grid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed GPS studies and power system analyses to ensure compliance with network connection agreements.
- Engage in feasibility studies, static and dynamic modelling management, and transformer and SVC operation with inverters.
- Manage connection terms and conditions, including testing and verification of R1/R2 requirements.
- Develop budgets and schedules for grid connection points and support tender submissions for various renewable projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients to secure repeat business and achieve financial targets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a focus on Power Systems.
- Experience in conducting GPS studies and power system analyses for renewable energy projects.
- Familiarity with network planning for remote communities and development feasibility studies.
- Proven track record in Power Systems
