About the role
As part of icare's major reset to improve recovery and return to work outcomes for injured workers, DXC commenced managing workers' compensation claims in New South Wales in September 2023.
The Practice Group Manager is a key contributor in bringing DXC's claims management expertise to icare and the people of New South Wales. The successful applicant will be a member of the DXC senior leadership team and contribute to the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies, and practices.
The Practice Group Manager will be responsible for establishing and managing front end and tail claims management teams. The role requires coaching and mentoring of claims team leaders as well as ensuring the claims teams are supported to achieve return to work outcomes and maintain positive relationships with injured workers, employers and treatment providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage people leaders and their direct reports (including, but not limited to, case managers, injury management specialists, technical specialists, and administrators)
Monitor team performance against key performance indicators and develop performance improvement strategies as required
Help manage the relationship between the DXC claims team and icare stakeholders
Advocate customer focused solutions to business problems
Develop strategies designed to optimise existing claims processes and outcomes
Provide expert stakeholder management and subject matter expertise to the business
Conduct research, modelling, forecasting, measuring and reporting to support business decisions required for proposed solutions
To be successful in this role you will be:
A polished senior leader with over 5 years' experience, comfortable working across all levels of organisations in a range of industry sectors
Advanced strategic and critical thinking abilities
Ability to identify, build and deliver both tactical and strategic change initiatives
An advanced understanding of Workers Compensation insurance policy and claims service delivery and associated risk management implications will be viewed favorably.
