Form of workAbout the Role:
An important role within our Regional Services team the Extension Practice Leadwill work to inspire, develop and guide our team working within the Extension* function to deliver impactful farmer services that align to our values and strategy and are responsive to regional nuances. 2024 is an exciting year with our Extension Strategy Uplift and this role will be critical in developing, delivering and leading strategic and operational outcomes.
In creating the opportunity for practice change with Dairy farmers, this role will require thought leadership, coaching, mentoring, and strategic and operational contributions to help define and deliver Extension activities. A collaborative approach will be important to adopt as you will be working closely with the Extension Team Leads and the Regional Services Leadership team. Initially offered as an 18 month fixed term contract, we are flexible on where the successful candidate is located (with preference to being accessible to dairy regions) and are excited by the opportunity this role presents in making an impact for our team and our industry.
*Not sure what Extension is? It is the role of supporting practice change on-farm to build and adopt skills, knowledge and expertise of those working on dairy farms.

Reporting to the General Manager, Regional Services you can demonstrate a wide range of skills from team development and mentoring through to planning and supporting the delivery of strategy and service delivery. Ideally you will have experience in agricultural extension, training or team/function leader role or a field that is translatable. Your strong communication and influencing skills will ensure you deliver effective messaging and build strong stakeholder relationships. You enjoy looking at how process improvements and change can be embedded in our practice.
