Our practice is looking for an experienced Practice Manager who is patient-focused, flexible and motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and business initiative.

The Role
You will be reporting to the principal specialists/directors who established the practice and work together with them in growing the business. Your primary tasks will be the go-to person, who oversees the daily operations of the practice, lead a diverse team of medical administrative and clinical staff, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, development of organisation systems to maximise productivity in the workplace and staff management.

About You
Essential
- Experience in health care/medical practice management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A commitment to help the practice achieve the highest standard of patient care and consumer experience
- A willingness to be agile and responsive to the day-to-day needs of a busy practice including multi-tasking
- A high degree of initiative, strong business acumen and exceptional team leadership skills
- Experience with medical billings, private health funds and Medicare as well as oversight of practice accounts and expenses together with the practice bookkeeper and accountant
- Fluency with electronic medical and Office software
- Experience with performance management, rostering and staff appraisals
- Experience in training and ongoing development of administrative and nursing staff
- Experience developing practice procedures and policies
- Experience with medical practice software and accounting software
Desirable
- Marketing and GP liaison experience
- Familiarity with PracticeHub
- Completed Practice Management Diploma or equivalent qualification aligned with the role
- Experience with GENTU/Genie medical practice software
- Specialist practice experience, Obstetric and/or Gynaecology practice experience favourable
