Our medical practice is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join our new, supportive, friendly and close-knit doctor run practice in Bruce.
We believe a Practice Manager is one of the most important, highly valued members of the team and an essential attribute for a successful business.

The successful applicant must have medical administration experience, excellent communication, organisational, leadership and people skills. Good time management and task prioritisation skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities
Welcoming patients, helping in scheduling appointments.
Oversee the daily operations and administration of our clinic.
Lead a team of clinical and non-clinical staff and serve as the first point of contact for the clinic practitioners.
Have passion for delivering exceptional patient care and high-quality customer service.
Manage financial aspects including accounts, invoicing, managing payroll, budgeting, Medicare billing, and optimizing revenue streams while controlling costs.
Coordinate payroll services including superannuation payments, Australian Taxation Office employer responsibilities and maintain records of leave entitlements
Ensure the clinic complies with all relevant healthcare regulations and accreditation standards, occupational health and safety standards.

Proficiency in medical software – including Best Practice, Xestro, Genie and Microsoft windows.
Attend staff meetings, in house educational meetings, regular practice meetings as required to ensure that you are up to date with practice working.
Assist with staff recruitment and training and staff performance management
The Practice Manager will:
Undertake a pre-employment interview
Provide appropriate references
Participate in an orientation or induction program
Participate in a performance review process at 3 months then annually thereafter.
Essential
The Practice Manager will have:
Experience in financial management, accounting systems and reporting processes
Experience in payroll systems, legislated employment conditions
An understanding of medical terminology, medical and allied health professional organisations
Training in CPR within the past three years
A current criminal record screening
A current Australian Driver’s Licence
A current Working with Children Check
Work rights in Australia or be eligible for such.
Position hours – Full time
