The Prosecutor Grade 5 - Criminal Practice Manger position has been established to support the Deputy Director – Head of Criminal Practice in the management and oversight of the Criminal Practice.
The successful applicant will assist the Deputy Director – Head of Criminal Practice to provide the necessary leadership and support to the Criminal Practice including by in consultation with the Deputy Director exercising the discretion to initiate, vary and discontinue serious criminal charges, effectively managing the Office workload, preparing and maintaining office training materials and working closely with the Deputy Director and Director on projects as required.
The position will be a largely non-court-based role and the Criminal Practice Manager will not carry their own practice.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:
⦁ Admitted to or eligible to practice as a Barrister and or Solicitor in the ACT.
⦁ A minimum of 5 years post admission experience
⦁ The successful candidate will be required to undergo a criminal record check.
