Practice Manager –Full Time
We are seeking a friendly, passionate, energetic, mature minded Practice Manager to join our team.
Ghan Medical Centre is a fast-paced environment, therefore the ability to multitask and problem solve while maintaining a courteous attitude and meeting deadlines is essential.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Manage the organisational review and personnel management function for a team of staff carrying out a range of clerical, technical and professional activities
- Provision of accurate and timely financial data
- Development of organisation systems to maximise productivity in the workplace
- Development of business plans to meet the objectives of the practice and its principals
- Maintenance of the assets of the practice
- Continuous review of the operating environment of the practice
- Public Relations and marketing
- Develop and maintain a suite of policies and procedures.
- Coordinate payroll responsibilities
- Coordinate accounts receivable
- Greeting patients, answering telephone calls, patient triage and booking patient appointments in a professional and courteous manner
- Professionally assist doctors, staff and patients
- Maintaining confidentiality while managing patient records
- Assisting in general office duties
Essential Requirements:

- Have a strong work ethic & highly motivated
- Excellent communication skills, with a proactive and enthusiastic approach
- Previous management experience
- Experience in financial management
- Experience in payroll systems and legislated employment conditions
- An understanding of medical terminology
- Ability to demonstrate and encourage leadership and teamwork
- Ability to multi task and work under pressure while still applying attention to detail
- Must have neat and professional presentation
- Hold a current CPR certificate within the past 3 years (or be willing to complete training to obtain one)
- Hold a current Police Clearance
- Hold a current Working with Children & Vulnerable people clearance
- Work right in Australia or be eligible
- Undertake Pre-Employment Medical prior to employment
Desirable Skills:
- Excellent phone manner and communication
- Ability to learn new software programs and strong typing ability
- Previous Medical Knowledge
- Previous experience in XERO
- Previous experience in Best Practice Software
- Hold a current Class C drivers’ licence
