ALA Law is Western Sydney's leading boutique Family Law specialist firm and we seeking a experienced and proficient Legal Practice Manager to join our dynamic team. As a cornerstone of our firm's operations, the Practice Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our legal practice.
The firm is lead by three female partners and contains highly experienced lawyers, paralegals and legal secretaries.
The firm has a rapid growth projection and thus the position is saleable as to the right persons needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight:
Manage day-to-day operations of the firm, including but not limited to implementing and managing procedures for client intake, case management, scheduling, and administrative tasks.
- Financial Management:
Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, billing, and collections to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the firm.
- Human Resources:
Coordinate recruitment, training, and performance evaluation processes. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to foster a positive work environment.
- Technology Integration:
Spearhead the integration of technology solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency within the firm. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in legal technology. Experience with Smokeball also highly regarded.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with legal regulations and industry standards. Implement measures to mitigate risks and maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with firm leadership to develop and execute strategic plans for business growth and development. Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
- Advertising and Marketing:
Develop and implement strategies to enhance the firm's visibility and reputation within the legal community and target markets. Collaborate with marketing professionals and our inhouse team to create compelling content, manage digital marketing campaigns, and participate in networking events to attract new clients and strengthen existing relationships.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field. Advanced degree or certification in management or law preferred. Senior Paralegals will also be considered.
- Proven experience (min 5 years) in a managerial role within a legal setting.
- Strong understanding of legal operations, including case management, billing, and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in legal software and technology solutions
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality.
