Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, billing, and patient onboarding.
- Manage a remote team of clinicians and administrative staff, ensuring high performance and job satisfaction along with consistent rostering.
- Implement and refine administrative systems, processes, and policies to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Coordinate with clinicians to ensure smooth delivery of telehealth services.
- Handle financial operations, including budgeting, invoicing, and payroll.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and laws.
- Handle complaints and feedback
- Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, including healthcare providers and technology partners.
- Oversee patient care coordination, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives to maintain high standards of care.
- Change Management: Ability to manage and lead change, particularly important in a field like telehealth, which is rapidly evolving. This includes guiding the team through technological upgrades and changes in healthcare practices.
- Quality Control and Performance Metrics: Ability to develop and monitor key performance indicators for telehealth services. This includes patient satisfaction, clinician performance, and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Be living in the ACT and able to undertake remote and hybrid work.
- Proven experience in healthcare practice management, preferably in a Mental Health or telehealth setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience managing remote teams.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of healthcare systems, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficient in healthcare IT systems and comfortable with technology-driven work environments.
- Familiarity with telehealth regulations in Australia
- A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and clinician support.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- A deep understanding of patient confidentiality issues, especially in a digital/telehealth context, and the ability to implement robust systems to protect patient information.
- Commitment to the ongoing professional development of the team. This includes facilitating training in new technologies, telehealth best practices, and Mental Health topics.
- Crisis Management Skills: Skills in managing crises in a remote setting, including protocols for emergency situations where a patient may be at risk.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in a healthcare administrative role, with at least 1 year in a management or supervisory capacity.
Desirable:
- Experience in telehealth or remote healthcare delivery.
- Ability to network with other health professionals and engage in community outreach to promote Mental Health awareness and the benefits of telehealth services.
- Understanding of Mental Health services and their unique operational challenges.
- A strong commitment to advocating for Mental Health, which includes staying informed about the latest research and trends in Mental Health care and actively participating in relevant discussions and policy-making forums.
