About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager for a part-time position, Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week. We are open to negotiation on 4 days per week.
You will be focused on providing high level practice management support to our doctors, clinical, and administrative staff by overseeing the day-to-day running of the clinic. You will ensure the patient experience is aligned with our values, and the delivery of efficient and effective administrative and reception functions associated with the clinical service delivery for our doctors.
You will receive a dedicated training program upon commencement, that includes a full orientation and induction, online compliance training, and ongoing support from the Area Manager and corporate departments that include Human Resources, Payroll, IT, Property and Finance. We ensure that you have the necessary skills, training and support to ensure your success in the role.
About you:
  • Previous experience as a Practice Manager (essential).
  • Completion of relevant formal qualifications (well regarded).
  • Experience in using Best Practice and Hot Docs (highly desirable).
  • An understanding or experience in general practice accreditation and standards.
  • Experience in staff inductions, training, rostering, performance reviews and the onboarding of new doctors.
  • Knowledge of Medicare item numbers.
  • Experience in Medicare batching, private billing, debt collection and banking.
  • Ability to demonstrate and encourage leadership and teamwork.
  • Ability to manage key expense lines to budget.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and cultural sensitivity.
  • Commitment to ethical behaviour and conduct.
  • Experience in use of social media to promote clinic.
  • Understanding of Work Health & Safety and Privacy.
