Practice Nurse

Practice Nurse Required - Hocking Medical Centre

We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse or an Enrolled Nurse on a Full time basis at our Hocking Medical Centre located north of the river

Hours Required 

Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm

The Role

• We are looking for a Nurse with long term goals working in a general practice with a passion for practice nursing.

• You are skilled at remaining calm in highly tense situations and have the ability to resolve matters pragmatically.

You are required to provide quality care to a diverse mix of patients through;

General Practice 

• Chronic Disease Management including Care Plans & Health Assessments
• Immunisations &  Vaccinations
• ECG's & Spirometry
• Wound care/dressing
• Daily co-ordination of the treatment room, stock control and medical equipment maintenance
• Implementing and practicing infection control
• Identifying & contributing to the development of our patient educational needs.

Essential Criteria:

• Current unrestricted Nurses Registration with AHPRA
• Current CPR certification
• Experience as a Practice Nurse or a similar role 
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
• Proficiency with IT systems & their use
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Caring & collaborative approach to patient care
• Proven multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
