Devonport Family Medical Centre provides high-quality medical care for all patients, in a professional and respectful manner. This practice's team is supported by 12 highly trained doctors, and strong nursing and administrative teams.
About the role
We have fantastic opportunities for a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a caring nature, high level communication skills and attention to detail. We have multiple positions, both part time and full time available.
The Practice Nurse will:
- Be experienced in the delivery of GP Management Plans, Team Care Arrangements, Health Assessments, CVC program, ECGs, Spirometry, urine testing, diabetes cycle of care, Asthma Management Plan, Comprehensive Medical Assessments
- Participate in Quality Improvement Activities
- Provide culturally appropriate assessments, therapeutic and education services for clients with chronic disease as required
- Ensure that clients receive education on the use of therapies and treatments prescribed and feedback on the outcomes of therapy and treatment
- Adhere to relevant professional Code of Ethics guidelines
- A willingness to implement and adapt to change when required to benefit patients, staff, and the wider group
- Provide general nursing support to the General Practitioners
About You
- Current APHRA registration as Registered or Enrolled Nurse is essential
- Demonstrated experience working in a Primary Health care setting or within General Practice is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer literacy
