Key Practice Nurse duties and responsibilities:

Our Practice Nurses coordinate and provide patient care, ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the practice and support GPs. Duties include:

1. Patient care including wound care, immunisation, spirometry, triage, procedural assistance, health assessments, and proactive nurse-led chronic disease management
2. Involvement in quality improvement projects
3. Infection control 
4. Sharing knowledge and coaching peers
5. Immunisation and cold-chain management
6. Ordering and stock management

To be considered you will need:

1. Relevant nursing experience (General Practice Nursing experience is desired but not essential)
2. A growth mindset, an excellent attitude and great communication skills 
3. The ability to work independently as well as within a team
4. The ability to connect with and motivate patients from all walks of life
5. Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time-management skills
6. Current AHPRA registration and CPR certification
