PRACTICE NURSE WANTED FOR WELL ESTABLISHED FAMILY GENERAL PRACTICE – FULL TIME OR PART TIME

We are an innovative leading practice in Davenport TAS and are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly team and be the backbone of clinical operations.
Our practice is committed to providing comprehensive primary health care to all individuals and families in this community and prides itself on providing a high level of patient care.
You will be required to use a holistic approach when treating patients, and promote a customer focused quality service. In return for your skills and experience, we will provide you with a supportive environment, in which you will thrive in. You will be require to undertake home visits to conduct health assessments.

Practice Nurse Role, where you will provide quality care to a diverse mix of patients through:
- Assisting the medical practitioner in delivering medical services
- Daily co-ordination of the treatment room: stock control and rotation, sterilization, general maintenance of medical instruments and equipment, restocking of consulting rooms, general cleanliness of practice
- Identifying & contributing to the development of patient educational needs
- Implementing and practicing infection control and WHS
- Ensuring the practice is meeting and exceeding practice accreditation standards in the clinical domain
- Providing confident and approachable clinical leadership to other staff, including doctors, Practice Nurse and reception
- Appropriately managing patient triage
- Wound care and dressings
- Childhood and Adult immunisations
- Travel vaccinations
- Corporate health checks and pre-employment medicals
- ECG, Audiometry and Spirometry
- Chronic Disease Management and perform GFMP/ TCA's and Cycle of Cares
- Age-appropriate Health Assessments and Indigenous Health Checks
- Utilising our practice software for recall and reminder systems in-line with our practice policies and procedures
- Regular clinical audits, evaluation and implementation of any necessary processes in consultation with practice management
- Cold-chain management and education of other staff, including the 'Strive-for-Five' guidelines
The successful candidate must:
- APRHA registration and required CPD points
- Hold current Basic Life Support / CPR Certificate or equivalent
- Police Check
- Working With Children’s Check
- Professional presentation and attitude
- Proven multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills
- Goal-orientated and self-motivated with a desire for continual practice and professional development and build on strong team clinical processes
- An aptitude for clinical administration duties and superb attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Cervical Screening certificate
- Certified Immuniser
- Competence using Best Practice management software
