We are currently seeking Registered Nurse (Div 1) to become an integral member of our fully accredited and computerised General Practice at Yarra Glen. We will also consider applicants with less experience.
Working alongside a team of General Practitioners, Nurse and administrative support, you will be part of a professional team environment. You will have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts and in a fast-paced team environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist and support GP's with minor procedures
- Management of recall and reminder systems
- Supporting GP's in chronic disease management- health assessments and care plans
- Stock maintenance and ordering
- Sterilisation of medical equipment
- Blood collection
- ECG and Spirometry
- Wound management
- Infection control & procedures
- Maintaining cold chain management systems
- Immunisation
- Triage
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must meet the following essential criteria:
- Practice Nurse experience will be preferred
- Nurse Immuniser will be preferred
- Competence in emergency triage will be highly regarded, but not essential
- Proficient computer skills – knowledge of Best Practice an advantage
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated initiative, time-management & flexibility
