Due to growth, an exciting opportunity has become available for a Practice Nurse to join our Bupa Health Centres team.
This is a permanent position, and we are open to this role being full time or part time. You can work from either Melbourne or Sydney with offices conveniently located in the CBDs.
The Role:
As a senior Practice Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient operation of Bupa Health Centres. Responsible for the administrative, operational, financial, clinical quality and safety aspects of the Centres, you will lead the delivery of a primary care (GP) service recognised for its exceptional customer experience, outstanding client outcomes and highest level of clinical safety and quality.
What will your day look like:
Operational Management:
•Support Practice Manager and Service Delivery teams with day-to-day practice operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of the Centres.
•Support the development and deployment of a central operating model which delivers safe and effective care combined with exceptional customer experience.
Financial Management:
•Support Service Delivery teams with developing practice budgets, including revenue, expenses, and financial reporting.
•Review and monitor the financial performance (P&L) of the practices in line with approved annual budgets.
Patient and Customer Relations:
•Support the consistent application of patient feedback, complaints, and concerns mechanisms, working to enhance customer experience across the healthcare centres.
•Monitor and evaluate patient retention activities such as recall processes and lapsed treatment plan reactivation.
Technology and Systems:
•Oversee the maintenance of electronic health records (EHR) systems and other supporting software.
•Provide advice and UAT where required into PMS and other technology solutions.
Compliance and Regulation:
•Support the practices to comply with healthcare regulations, clinical safety and quality initiatives and privacy laws
•Keep updated with changes in healthcare policies and regulations and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
Strategic Planning and Development:
•Contribute to the development and implementation of the Healthcare Centre's long-term strategies and goals.
•Support in identifying opportunities for growth, expansion, or improvement and provide input into developing plans to achieve them.
You may also carry out any other duties reasonably requested by Bupa from time to time.
What you will bring:
•Demonstrated experience as a Practice Nurse within the Primary Healthcare environment, with a focus on multi-disciplinary GP clinics.
•Strong people management skills within the health industry
•Proven ability to set clearly defined objectives and measures to drive business outcomes, with a focus on customer experience
•Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance.
•Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
•Proficiency in using healthcare management software (Best Practice) and technology.
•Tertiary degree in Nursing (postgraduate specialisation highly regarded)
