Reporting to the Director, International Operations and Missions, you will manage, and monitor State-level and TIQ foreign agreements, oversee international engagement activities with high level representatives of our international partners and support coordination of major significant projects, reporting processes and policy initiatives, on behalf of the General Manager.
You will also provide strategic administration and advisory support, lead and manage business activities relevant to the team and provide high-level co-ordination of correspondence for the General Manager.

About the business unit
The International Operations Division is responsible for the management of TIQ's international network, international agreements, relationships with foreign governments and for coordinating Minister-led Trade and Investment missions. The Division consists of three business units.
Your contribution (key responsibilities and accountabilities)
To be successful in this role you will:

• Research, prepare and/or coordinate and review submissions, briefing notes, reports and correspondence on complex policy issues, key business priorities and operational issues including matters for discussion with the TIQ Board, Minister and other key public and private sector stakeholders.
• Coordinate and manage State-level and TIQ foreign agreements, and though relationships and networks of strategic importance with key international markets and related allies, leverage opportunities through strategic arrangements to deliver outcomes for Queensland.
• Collaborate and build trusted relationships across TIQ, local, and international stakeholders to develop whole of government perspectives on international engagement opportunities, as well as coordinate official activities between Queensland and foreign dignitaries.
• Provide written and verbal advice and communications on strategy and reporting activities to high-level stakeholders including Ministers, the TIQ Board and TIQ senior management.
• Contribute to the management of business activities for the International Operations unit in accordance with relevant practices including managing efficient business systems and processes.
• Manage, plan, co-ordinate and/or monitor major significant projects, reporting processes and policy initiatives on behalf of the General Manager.
• Prepare and/or co-ordinate reports, ministerial correspondence, board information papers, submissions, briefing notes and correspondence on a range of corporate issues.
• Represent TIQ at stakeholder meetings as required, and apply high-level negotiating and influencing skills to gain consensus and support from people with differing views.
• Establish and maintain effective communication strategies, protocols, stakeholder negotiation and liaison activities across cultures and other private and public sector organisations.
• Develop and foster effective relationships with key stakeholders across local, state and federal agencies, and industry to continue to build commitment to long term growth.
