NEWest Alliance is a multidisciplinary collaboration between CPB Contractors and DT Infrastructure, working with the Public Transport Authority to deliver two projects (Yanchep Rail Extension and Thornlie-Cockburn Link) as part of METRONET.
We are currently hiring a Safety Advisor with rail/track project experience to effectively provide on-site safety support to assist in the achievement of the required objectives of the Thornlie-Cockburn Link project.
About the role- Investigate incidents and monitor implementation of corrective actions
- Monitor compliance with Safety and also Environment policy, procedures and legislative requirements
- Conduct regular inspections, audits and facilitate Safety educational programs
- Assist with reporting requirements and the development and maintenance of a safety culture
- Ensure a current understanding of all relevant legislation is maintained at all times
- Work with staff, workers and subcontractors in the processes, skills, attitudes and behaviours required to foster a positive safety culture
- Monitor compliance with the NEWest Alliance Safety) policies and procedures
- Knowledge of PTA Safe Working Rules
- 3 - 5 years in a Safety role in a construction environment
- Experience in qualitative risk assessment and development and monitoring of risk controls
- Skill in conducting and interpreting audits and reviews
- Experience in delivering training in high risk activities such as working at heights, confined space and rescue training
- Experience in developing, analyzing and reporting on complex project performance, compliance and defects and/or non-conformance
- Skill and experience using Corporate Management Systems & Rehabilitation
