Your Role:
You will report to the Manager Student Wellbeing Package, Metropolitan North Region.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery of high quality and effective approaches to Mental Health in state schools, ensuring that the outcomes are aligned to, and supportive of, the department's agenda for improvement in schools.
- Providing high level strategic advice to senior officers of the department and other key stakeholders on issues relevant to the specific accountabilities of the role.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of Early Childhood and State Schools Division priorities for all students in state schools.
- Provide authoritative, expert advice to the Director, senior executives and other internal stakeholders to inform and implement high quality, effective Mental Health and wellbeing services that support delivery of the department's strategic priorities.
- Provide high level advice and support to key stakeholders to lead an inclusive, safe and supportive learning environment.
- Support the development and implementation of whole-of-school approaches to social and emotional learning programs.
- wellbeing across all school activities and the curriculum.
- Support regional staff and school leadership teams to work collaboratively to create environments that enhance the engagement of all students, including those students who are most at risk of Mental Health issues, disengagement, suspension and cancellation of enrolment.
