The Principal Architect plays a key role as manager of the Architecture team and will provide technical and people leadership to the team. This is a leadership role where the Principal Architect will align the Architecture capability in line with the ISD Operating Model to provide ICT capability for the department. The Principal Architect will work in and across the Architecture portfolio to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions to DEECA and across the whole of the Victorian Government. The Principal Architect role will establish and drive the team's standards and work practices, get hands on with architecture and build enterprise insights and viewpoints that contribute to strategy, planning and delivery.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- An appropriate qualification in IT, computer science or related discipline (mandatory)
- Enterprise, Solution and Domain Architecture experience over a 10-year period ideally leading complex solutions and teams (mandatory)
- TOGAF or other architecture certifications (Highly desirable)
- Experience leading strategies, all types of ICT architecture, and supporting transformation programs (Highly desirable)
