The Delivery Services Branch is Queensland Health's trusted partner and advisor for digital health project delivery excellence.
The vision of the Digital Health and Business Solutions unit is to enable a patient-centric focus to health care delivery across a networked model of care.
Through programs such as the Digital Hospital Program, eHealth can enable clinicians and support staff to securely access a patient's medical record at the point of care.
About the roleThe purpose of this role is responsible for engaging with senior stakeholders, suppliers, development, and delivery teams to assist in the successful delivery of a valued, integrated and effective business solution to program/project(s) in the implementation of Digital Health across multiple Hospital and Health Services.
Key Responsibilities of this role:
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Public Service values as outlined above.
- Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe, services and workplaces.
- Managing senior stakeholder relationships to support the vision, outcomes, and deliverables of Digital Health, coordinating, and participating in engagements across multiple Hospital Health Services.
- Identify, understand, and plan for organizational and human impacts of planned systems, and ensure that new technical requirements are properly integrated with existing processes and skill sets.
- Documenting and assessing on site solutions, technology platforms, services, business processes and data domains.
- Work with business functional units in defining requirements, assessing solutions, and managing governance processes, to support the delivery of technology solutions to meet the needs of the Hospital and Health Services to improve internal efficiencies.
- Coordinate and collaborate with multiple programs to support the cross-team deliveries.
- Develop business and software requirements specifications for IM/ICT projects, ensuring traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise and coordinate specialised project team(s).
This position requires:

- This position may require the incumbent to operate a government vehicle and an appropriate licence to operate this type of vehicle is required (Queensland 'C' class licence) and proof must be provided before commencement of duty.
Key Experience Required:
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key requirements, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the key responsibilities described above under 'About the Role', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Experience performing business analysis activities within IM/ICT program/project(s), preferably in the health care industry.
- Knowledge in, and an ability to provide sound advice and recommendations on, the application of appropriate design, development, implementation and operation of technology solutions and services. Thereby, defining requirements to measure the success of Digital Health initiatives and support the delivery programs capability.
- Proven effective consultation, facilitation, written and oral communication skills for use in a delivery program/project environment.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
