Form of workTalent International is searching for an experienced Principal Cloud Engineer (Azure) to join our client, a Government State Department based in Brisbane CBD on an 6 Month Contract + Likely Extensions.

The role:
As the Principal Cloud Engineer you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the departments Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environment. This role will require you to work within a specialised Agile DevOps environment within a multi-disciplined team and provide expert advice and support of cloud-based platforms.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
This role requires you to work with limited supervision in a specialist team and requires you to manage and maintain the departments Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 (M365) and other cloud-based environments. You will be part of a specialised Cloud Platforms team and be responsible for the management, support, and monitoring of cloud-based systems and solutions. This position requires you to be a technology expert well-versed in Microsoft Azure and have a strong focus on networking, experience in Entra and ensuring security and compliance within the cloud environment.
- Administer, configure, and maintain cloud services and applications, including Microsoft 365 (M365) and Azure resources and networks.
- Monitor and manage M365 services such as Entra, SharePoint Online, Teams and OneDrive for Business
- Design, configure and document Azure shared services infrastructure through the use of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) toolsets and practices
- Administer and maintain seamless connectivity and optimize network configurations for cloud-based services and collaborate with network teams to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues affecting cloud services.
- Provide expert advice on solution design to ensure the system design remains robust, fit for purpose and meets requirements.
