About the opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has become available fora Principal Communications Advisor. ThePrincipal Communications Advisor is responsiblefor internal and external communication activities for DEM andcontributing to the implementation of the DEM-wide media, marketingand communications strategy. In addition, the Advisor managesresources to develop and deliver effective communicationsactivities.

Key selection criteria:

- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively both verbally and in writing with people at all levels including proven ability to consult, liaise and influence, and negotiate and manage conflict with tact and diplomacy.
- Proven experience planning, managing, delivering and monitoring high level communication marketing campaigns including developing and monitoring marketing and engagement metrics, in politically sensitive government environment.
- Application of high-level knowledge in communications and marketing theory and methodology across all media and the processes used to initiate, plan, manage and deliver, in conjunction with, stakeholders, all types of events, sponsorships and publicity activities in a government environment, including the appropriate use of digital platforms, website development and social media.
- In-depth current knowledge and grasp of all relevant aspects of community and industry engagement, consultation and collaborative planning approaches, including the appropriate use of digital platforms, web site development and social media.
Qualifications:
Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Journalism orequivalent is desirable.
Remuneration:
ASO7 $106,512 - $115,137 per annum
Full time role, working 37.5 hours per week
