About the role:
As the Principal Consultant, Workplace Relations you will provide high level advice on industrial provisions and Workplace Relations matters to the DRDMW leadership team. You will be responsible for leading the Workplace Relations team to deliver HR advisory and case management, Workplace Relations, ethics and integrity services.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide high level authoritative advice and support to leaders and managers across DRDMW on industrial provisions and Workplace Relations activities, policy and procedure implementation and operational matters to facilitate the effective management of our workforce.
* Maintain a high-level contemporary knowledge of HR practices and systems, industrial instruments, case law and emerging trends to ensure compliance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement to support business outcomes.
* Lead, manage and develop the Workplace Relations team specialising in providing high quality HR advice, case management, support and initiatives.
* Guide and support business units to undertake performance and case management activities, facilitate internal reviews and investigations of industrial matters and disputes, performance issues, health management, incident and injuries, Workcover claims and workplace rehabilitation.
* Manage complex industrial and workforce matters, including disciplinary processes and workplace investigations.
* Lead research, prepare accurate, timely advice on Workplace Relations matters, including preparing submissions, briefings and correspondence.
Qualifications and Experience:
There are no mandatory requirements for this role however, Human Resources Qualifications are highly regarded as is experience in a similar role.Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
