About the team
Part of the broader Technology team, Advanced Analytics and AI (AAAI) are responsible for Driving strategic intelligent automation at Coles that delivers more value than any alternative.
You will bring the use of Advanced Analytics solutions within Coles by researching new techniques in areas of prediction, regression, machine learning, text mining, mathematical optimisation, NLP and emergent AI techniques to identify new opportunities for future solutions and translating complex mathematical techniques into commercial concepts.
About the role
As a Principal Data Science Architect, you will be working across the entire AAAI team to define and drive leading practice Machine Learning, Statistical and Optimisation architectures to solve analytical and business problems. This includes:
- Researching leading techniques and emergent trends
- Mentor and guide team members in leading practice
- Solution architecture for AAAI models that is robust and scalable
- Technology architecture to deliver
- Data architecture
- Delivery mechanisms (App, Scoring, Feed, Workbench etc) to best drive adoption and utilisation
You will work closely with the Coles Enterprise architecture team to ensure AAAI opportunities are identified and drive strategic adoption of AAAI within Coles and its business units. This role will also have you research new opportunities in areas of prediction, regression, machine learning, text mining, NLP and emergent AI techniques to identify new opportunities for future solutions.
Further responsibilities include:
- Owning the governance of AAAI models
- Signoff AAAI architecture defences
- Signoff AA model final defences
- Signoff models for release
Support the AAAI streams to deliver high quality, robust and pragmatic solutions to drive business value
About you and your skills:
- Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Econometrics, Applied Statistics, Physics, Engineering or related field.
