About the role
- To support Metro North Oral Health Services (MNOHS) to pursue and advance its vision and mission and provide evidence-based, timely, high quality, patient centred care for the eligible MNOHS community.
- In particular, the position:
- Supports and leads the establishment and embedding of evidence-based models of care to meet demand.
- Supports and leads a sustainable and competent workforce within each MNOHS clinic that fulfils (but does not exceed) the budget requirements and meets the emerging and changing needs of the eligible population.
- With assistance of the Director, Child and Adolescent Oral Health Services (CAOHS) and Specialist Children's Oral Health Services (COHS), supports the development and growth of the leadership and management competency of managers who directly report to the Principal Dentist and senior staff.
- Provides oral health services to patients of CAOHS.
- Oversees the COAHS General Anaesthetic pre- and post-assessments
- Provides efficient and effective management of the allocated resources for CAOHS to achieve service agreement performance targets and maintain budget integrity.
- Provides appropriate leadership to ensure CAOHS clinics maintain standing as benchmark oral health clinics with regard to the provision of high-quality oral health services, clinical research, dental student training and staff development.
