Principal Discipline Engineer - Electrical

Your new role
- Provide input into scopes of work and other project scoping and framing deliverables.
- Review of project deliverables within timeframe expectations of the project.
- Attend various weekly meetings on both internal and external.
- Respond to technical queries (TQ).
- Provide support for the request for information (RFI) process.
- Communicate the intent of company design standards.
- Participate in safety in design (SiD) activities.
- Participate in value optimisation activities.
- Attend and participate in design reviews (Design review, HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, etc.).
- Review project scope and provide recommendations on a tailored approach to engineering management of deliverables based on risk.
- Consult with company stakeholders for endorsement on technical decisions.
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities for the project to consider pursuing further.
- Work on developing updates to Company standards.
- Support Engineering Information Management (EIM) initiatives.
- Work to elevate the profile of the Discipline Engineering team and demonstrate the value they bring to projects though documenting and sharing of best practices, lessons learnt and success stories
What you'll need to succeed
- University degree qualified in Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
- TUV Functional Safety Engineer certified or Exida CFSP (desirable)
- Experience in operational site-based role with exposure to safe work procedures and operational practices.
- Experience in project roles across engineering, construction and commissioning.
- Electrical engineering knowledge on power distribution, industrial motor control, instrumentation and process control systems Prior Mining experience
- Prior experience with designing and drawings.
- Experience in managing projects from the study phase through to delivery ideal
