About The RoleIf you share our clear vision to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are seeking a Principal Process Engineer to join our team in Perth, Western Australia on a full-time permanent basis.This is an opportunity to join a high performing and dynamic team working across a range of assignments from conventional energy to emerging energy transition technologies.Our work encompasses feasibility assessments and concept selection for new developments through to specialist technical support of mature assets. At Genesis we collaborate closely with our clients, develop an understanding of their problems before identifying the possible solutions and supporting their decision-making process.Key areas of activity within the process team are:
- Process designs for projects
- Modelling and optimisation of process and renewable systems
- Designing utility and balance of plant systems
- Estimation, utilising Genesis' proprietary ADEPT tool
- Advanced simulation, including dynamic modelling, mercury modelling and management
- Operations support and troubleshooting
- Facility capacity rating, debottlenecking and benchmarking
- Life extension and asset rationalisation
- Client team support
The successful candidate will support a wide range of clients on varied and interesting projects related to the energy industry. You will also interface with the wider Genesis organisation through interactions with other discipline teams and a range of clients.
Your main responsibilities will include:- Deliver Process consultancy advice and develop technical studies for our clients based on agreed scopes of work, and in accordance with applicable standards, guidelines and regulations
- Provide advice and guidance to less experienced Engineers, including technical reviews of study work and reports prepared by others
- Assist with proposals in line with Genesis procedures
- Support to other Genesis global offices - project and new opportunities driven
- Support to Technip Energies Perth and Regional - project and new opportunities driven

About YouWe'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- Professional engineering experience, ideally within the energy industry
- Enjoy a mixture of tightly woven teams and working with independence
- Well-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines
- Have a desire to develop new skills and experience
- Software experience (eg. Hysys/Unisim Steady State & Dynamics, Aspen Plus, Cost Estimating, Pipesim) or in-house developed software (eg. ADEPT, GEM)
