We have an exciting opportunity in the HR and Payroll technical team for a Principal Engineer – Oracle E-Business Suite HR and Payroll.
Reporting into Technical Stream Lead you will be part of the team responsible for developing, planning & delivering complex systems architecture, guidance & advisory, and ensuring the successfully build, operation and running of products or platforms in alignment to relevant roadmaps. Working closely with a team of 10 members, you are responsible for leading and delivering solutions to projects and enhancements, maintenance and support of Oracle HRMS Suite especially Core HR, Payroll, Self Service Human Resources and Oracle Time and Labour modules. As a member of the team, this role is responsible for delivering and supporting the solution including the design, development, testing, deployment and support of custom extensions and integrations with 3rd party and legacy systems.
eHealth supports all NSW Health employees’ operational payroll and as part of the 2-year upgrade project of Core HR and Self-Service Human Resources modules to Oracle HCM Cloud application. It is a great opportunity to make a difference and transition your career to Cloud.
What you will do
As an integral member of the HR and Payroll technical team, you will:
Take part in strategic technology driven developments providing key input to the development of roadmaps and transition plans.
Lead discussions across senior engineers to prioritise design trade-offs and assessing risks to ensure delivery aligns to relevant architecture roadmaps, customer needs and organisational strategies.
Lead the team through development ceremonies, to refine, breakdown, size, document and implement complex user stories or tasks using appropriate methodologies, guiding principles and tools that create clarity and transparency surrounding all deliverables including ensuring producing high quality supporting technical and non-technical documentation.
Execute activities related to complex migration, design and build extension, implementation and transformation activities, that align to technology solutions, services and components roadmaps.
Undertake the design and delivery of large or complex designs that enable the roadmap vision and deliver desired qualities while identifying and developing recommendations that mitigate risks and dependencies that may impact the interoperability across systems.
Drive the development and implementation of coding and testing standards, to improve security, functionality, supportability, and efficiency.

About you
The skills, knowledge and experience we are looking for in you are:
Sound knowledge and implementation experience of Oracle HRMS (E-Business) Suite especially Payroll, Core HR, and Self-Service Human Resources and the processes they encompass.
Extensive hands-on experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Workflow, AME, Fast Formula, Oracle Application Framework (OAF), XML Publisher, Java, Interface development, XML Publisher and Oracle Applications Development Standards and Methodologies.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form-IM011 form). Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
To be eligible for this role, you must have current Australian work rights (Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen with a current passport, or hold a valid visa with permission to work in Australia).
