As the Principal EPL, you will be accountable for the on-time delivery and execution of the design of safe and reliable aircraft seating systems while providing leadership and direction to a team of Design and Senior Design Engineers. You will report into the Senior Manager and form part of the leadership team driving the execution of Acro’s performance objectives. Focusing on ensuring that the team deliver on time and in accordance with budget, the Principal EPL will act as the focal for seating programmes and will manage workload across a team to successfully meet targets in a functional matrix structure. Working closely with a wide range of customers, OEMs and internal teams the role requires excellent communication skills and has the potential for fantastic growth in seating expertise. To be successful in this position, you will have/be; Strong Mechanical Engineering or related degree Leadership and direct management of a small team, or indirect management of a large team Structured project delivery experience, ensuring adherence to stage gates and effective on time delivery Strong capability in planning, organising, and prioritising - managing multiple and complex projects and resources efficiently Design Engineering in Catia V5 (or equivalent) Strong analytical and decision-making skills Ability to operate under pressure and tight deadlines Flexible and adaptable – willing and able to respond positively to changing priorities Effective people manager – capable of managing reports and supporting department development opportunities Desirable: Experience, knowledge and understanding of Aircraft Seating integration programs Communicating and influencing – able to create impact by communicating key messages clearly, succinctly and with confidence High levels of commercial and technical insight…
