About the Role:
This is an opportunity to be part of Coronado Australia's Technical Development Team and provide strategic and technical environmental guidance on challenging projects. This role is key in contributing towards Coronado's organisational strategy and sustainability journey, as well as meeting with the company's environmental policies and relevant legislative requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with experts and manage or support securing relevant environmental approvals from all levels of government.
- Lead or support long-term progressive rehabilitation processes and closure planning aspects.
- Contribute and be involved with climate change and decarbonisation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in sustainability initiatives and reporting.
- Lead the development and improvement of aspects of the environmental management system.
- Interpret policies, statutory requirements and industry expectations and how they apply to Coronado Australia
- Coordinate and audit environmental management compliance.
- Foster positive relationships and encourage innovation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related discipline.
- Experience working in a similar capacity within an environment discipline.
- Understanding of mining or resources industry and a strong background in environmental management and sustainability.
- Proven knowledge of, and experience with, relevant State & Federal Government environmental and planning legislation and environmental approvals.
