Topsoil Organics is a family-owned and operated organic waste management company based in Forbes NSW, providing a range of sustainable waste management services across NSW, VIC, and QLD. We are seeking an experienced full time Environmental Project Manager to work within our expanding fast-paced and passionate team. The role will oversee the planning, execution and management of Environmental Projects across Eastern Australia. Position Overview
The Environmental Project Manager will work in conjunction with management and our existing team as we strive for comprehensive environmental solutions to assist in reducing our ecological footprint. We commit ourselves to being class leading in the industry with employees who show integrity and professionalism.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science or engineering along with proven project management skills and a passion for sustainability. The role will include but is not limited to
- Lead the planning and execution of environmental monitoring, analysis and reporting from inception to completion.
- Co-ordinate with all stakeholders and regulatory agencies to ensure the timely preparation of environmental compliance reports in relation to legislation and guidelines.
- Develop and prepare land application maps.
- Develop and track project plans, schedules and budgets
- Ensuring all projects are progressing against established goals and deadlines.
- Managing team members, transport and sub-contractors.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to minimise environmental impact.
- Utilise innovations and technology to enhance Topsoil Organics’ high level of quality and project outcomes.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders on project status, milestones and outcomes.
- Ensuring projects are compliant with our HSEQ and HR systems.
Skills, knowledge and experience
Along with your passion for the environment we require the successful applicant to have:
- Sound knowledge of environmental principles ideally supported by tertiary qualifications in science
- Ability to travel on a semi-regular basis (Forbes and South – East QLD) other travel may be required.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office; GIS mapping etc
- Some understanding of composting and biosolids would be advantageous.
- A ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes team work, open communication and knowledge sharing.

Licences required:
- Construction Induction Card (White Card) or equivalent (Training can be provided)
- Current Drivers Licence (Class C minimum)
