ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position on a 9-day fortnight roster, DIDO to our Worsley Alumina Refinery, and also working at our Boddington mine site.
As the Principal External Affairs – Stakeholder Engagement, you will be responsible for using industry leading experience to execute community and Stakeholder Engagement activities that protect and enhance Worsley Alumina’s reputation within its communities of influence while improving Worsley’s social value contribution to the region.
The role will involve:
- Designing innovative Stakeholder Engagement activities that create shared value for South32’s communities.
- Creating a culture of engagement and shared value with site leadership and key community stakeholders.
- Deliver Worsley’s long-term Social Performance Strategy to protect and enhance Worsley’s reputation and create shared value for South32’s communities.
- Fostering relationships with local community members to proactively share Worsley’s contribution to the South West and Peel Regions.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Deliver the Worsley Alumina Social Performance strategy with a focus on Stakeholder Engagement and government engagement.
- Deliver Stakeholder Engagement activity to plan including monitoring local communities and identifying emerging risks and issues.
- Input to South32-wide communication channels including website, social media platforms, intranet and annual reporting.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
Demonstrated experience in Stakeholder Engagement planning, event management and communications.
Qualifications for this position are:
- Qualification in Social Performance, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.
